The <\/span>Online Instructional Guide on Digital Competencies for Virtual Learning <\/b>aims to improve the digital skills and facilitate the interaction within virtual learning environments by <\/span>Vocational Education and Training teachers, trainers, consultants and mentor<\/b>s. It is a simple and easy-to-apply guide for anyone who has no prior knowledge on how to create and deliver an e-learning course.<\/span><\/p>\n

e-Learning brings multiple benefits to both learners and training providers, such as flexibility in timings and location, adapted to the learners\u2019 and teachers\u2019 schedules as well as personal and labour circumstances. Furthermore digital learning can be executed at lower cost, has almost no geographical limits, supports multilingual channels and self-paced learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

This guide describes a <\/span>six-step process<\/b> for the design, development and delivery of a successful e-learning courses:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Define the course\u2019s objectives and structure<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Define the resources needed<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Content development<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Add assessments and knowledge checks<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Upload course content to the eLearning platform<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Course delivery and evaluation<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
